So…here we go the GOOD:
Mutu: Romania then Viola
Romanian ace Adrian Mutu answers speculation surrounding his Fiorentina future and looks ahead to the climax of Euro 2008’s Group C.
The gifted former Chelsea marksman has become a key figure for the Viola and fired 17 goals last season in an inspirational campaign.
But Mutu’s demands for a pay rise haven’t been met so far and there have been suggestions that he may find a new club, with German giants Schalke at the front of the queue.
“I want to stay at Fiorentina,” he told Firenzeviola.it. “I have never asked for the wages that have been printed.
HE WANTS TO STAY AT FIO, PEOPLE!!!
Way to the BAD:
Palla's going to Genoa
Talented hitman Raffaele Palladino could be just hours away from leaving Juventus for Genoa.
Despite his undoubted ability, Palladino had to accept the role of benchwarmer for much of last season and grew frustrated with a lack of first-team football.
Having lost his place in the Azzurri side ahead of Euro 2008, Palla now seems ready to quit Turin for Genoa.
“Palladino will be a Genoa player and it will all be done in a few hours,” Genoa President Enrico Preziosi said on Radio Kiss Kiss.
“He has cost us a fortune, but we have such belief in this player.”
Genoa…orz
And the UGLY:
Chelsea join Cigarini chase
Chelsea have joined the long queue of clubs lining up to sign rising Parma star Luca Cigarini, according to reports.
The Italian Under-21 international is expected to be sold this summer after the club’s relegation and the London outfit are in with a shot of landing the 1986-born playmaker.
Cigarini, who signed a new five-year contract at the Tardini in 2007, is a product of the club’s youth system and has been likened to Italy and Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo.
Chelsea certainly have the financial power to sign the technically gifted youngster, but they are not alone.
Juventus, at the request of former Parma boss Claudio Ranieri, are very keen on the starlet, as are Napoli and Genoa – sides who would be able to offer him regular first-team football.
Yet a move to La Liga could be on the horizon with Villarreal, who already have Cigarini’s former teammate Giuseppe Rossi, and Atletico Madrid showing an interest in recent weeks.
Chel$ki﹗
LEAVE THE KID ALONE!
